Haunted Places in Wisconsin?

I recently did a group reading at a business and the resident Spirit made his presence known. He was not attached, connected, or related to anybody in attendance. Does this mean the place is haunted? Not necessarily. Does this mean he has ill intentions for the people there? Not necessarily.

My experience with Spirits that hang out in places, is they are usually attached to the people living there or they are attached to the space and enjoy being there. Notice, I used the word usually because there are exceptions to every rule. Are they stuck? Do they have unfinished business here on the Earth plane? I suppose it’s possible, but none of us will really know until we cross over to the other side.

Is it our job to help them cross over or go to the light? I don’t believe so. A couple of years ago, I listened to a recording of a medium that was channeling a Spirit, and the question was asked, “Should we help them cross over and go to the light?” The answer from the Spirit being channeled was that Spirits aren’t wandering around over there lost, they are all accounted for. And who would be better to help a Spirit that is wandering, us or them? It made perfect sense to me. Of course, this doesn’t mean that I cannot help facilitate a conversation with a person and a Spirit that has unfinished business here on the earth plane.

Back to the Spirit at the group reading. Apparently, he was a bootlegger during prohibition. In the 1920s bootleggers were quite common here in Wisconsin. The most notorious was Al Capone, who owned establishments in Milwaukee and had a house on Cranberry Lake in Couderay. His Couderay cabin was fortified with a machine gun turret and was used to transport whiskey from Canada to Illinois. His brother, Ralph Capone was a long-term Wisconsin resident too. He ran several taverns in Mercer, Wisconsin. My point is, it wouldn’t be far-fetched to have a Spirit in Wisconsin indicate he was a bootlegger. But alas, it was not Al or Ralph at the group reading.

The Spirit confirmed that he was a bootlegger when we went down to the basement and he indicated to me that he moved his product through tunnels. I didn’t see a tunnel, but he insisted that is how he moved the alcohol. Later, a person in attendance confirmed there was a tunnel behind a concrete wall and it ran down to the river. During prohibition, many tunnels like underground rivers were used across the country to transport alcohol.

He was an older gentleman with a great sense of humor. He also gave me his name, Robert. As a medium, names are like gold nuggets, it doesn’t happen very often and we do an internal happy dance when it does. A gal in attendance said she had seen an old letter regarding the Spirit and she believed his name was indeed Robert. Or perhaps, the name I got was because the gals in attendance had named him “Bob.” Several of them had seen, felt, or heard him at various times while working. “Bob” indicated that he enjoyed the chitter-chatter in the office and occasionally moved things around on them because he thought it was funny.

I didn’t feel any ill intentions or “bad” energy from the guy. So, remember that all Spirit activity is not bad, maybe they are simply entertaining themselves or enjoying your company. I really enjoyed my communication with the bootlegger; he was a hoot! Perhaps he was drunk?
